Umaga released by WWE due to Failing in Drug Test

WWE announced that Umaga was fired by the company because of a second Wellness Policy violation (Failing in a Drug Test) and a subsequent refusal to attend rehabilitation. Here is the Official statement:
As reported on www.wwe.com on Monday, June 08, 2009, WWE Superstar Umaga has been released from his World Wrestling Entertainment contract. However, consistent with the practice of announcing wellness policy violations, it should be noted that Umaga’s termination was due to his second violation of the WWE Wellness Program and his subsequent refusal to attend a rehabilitation facility.
This marks the first time WWE has fired one of their wrestlers due to the Wellness Policy rather than just suspending them. The company delayed the announcement whilst they reviewed their drugs policy.
Umaga had been scheduled to beat C.M. Punk at Extreme Rules until the creative team was informed late in the week about what was happening with him. The original plan would have had Umaga win on the PPV to be the blow-off for Punk’s win on Smackdown, which left both guys with one win apiece. Umaga was also scheduled to feud with The Undertaker after his return in the summer, which has been in the works for about a year now but continued to be delayed due to injuries to both men.
WWE NEWS: WWE Fired Umaga

In another unexpected move, WWE Released a prominent Wrestler Umaga, the company reported about this on its Website. He is the second wrestler to be let go by WWE in the past two weeks. Mr. Kennedy was released on May 29, 2009.
He was considered to be among the best of the guys just below the upper tier While he never a bona fide main eventer in WWE, Umaga frequently faced the big stars. Perhaps Umaga’s release tells why he just suffered back-to-back clean losses to CM Punk.
WWE Superstar Chris Masters is Returning Soon

The Master of the Master lock; Chris Masters is returning
It’s been just over one year and a half since Chris Masters was released for breaking the wellness policy.
After leaving WWE, he has been primarily wrestling the indie circuits overseas including New Zealand and Australia.
Masters, now only 26, still has a long way to go with a bright future ahead of him and we hope that he reaches his full potential while in WWE.

Mr Kennedy’s Facebook reply for his release from wwe. This Video Proves he’s not injured

Mr. Kennedy (Kenneth C. Anderson) dismissed the opinion that his release from WWE was due to suffering a wrist injury on Monday’s episode of Raw without saying a word. This Video was posted on his Facebook page.

It adds fuel to speculations that if injury was not the reason for his release, than a conflict with Randy Orton is what got him fired.
